‘Performance Diplomas are fantastic because they are a stepping stone to becoming a professional performer. Even if you are an enthusiastic amateur performer it gives you a sense of occasion.’
‘When my students are working towards Diploma exams I can see them becoming much more polished performers and really thinking carefully about the repertoire that they're selecting .’
‘What I learned through doing my ATCL Performance Diploma was the preparation required to do a fairly long recital of about 30 minutes and the various stages that I needed to go through to be ready to play a much longer amount of music from memory. It was a really useful stepping stone for me on the way to performing recitals in public.’

Trinity’s performance diplomas provide a pathway to professional musicianship, focusing exclusively on the planning and performance of a recital. They are offered at three levels: ATCL, LTCL and FTCL.
Trinity teaching diplomas cover instrumental and vocal teaching to individuals, small groups and in the classroom. Available at ATCL and LTCL levels, they cover both theory and practice, including teaching observation.
Trinity’s music theory diplomas focus on theoretical and analytical concepts and procedures, requiring extensive knowledge of music history in the Western classical tradition.
